I have always had a passion for sport. From a young age I competed at a national level in swimming, participated in a wide range of school sports and skied each year with my family. I studied PE (along with with my other subjects) at A-level and went on to obtain a BSc Sport Studies degree at the University of Southampton.

After graduating from University I worked in my local gym for 2 years, gaining invaluable experience. On a daily basis I was working directly with customers providing training programmes to suit their specific needs, such as weight loss, cardiac rehabilitation or for those wanting to improve their general fitness and well being. Customers ranged from those aiming to run a marathon to others recovering after serious medical conditions. Whilst working at the gym I undertook a number of qualifications to enhance my knowledge of the health and fitness industry.

I am a sports enthusiast and get a real 'buzz' from my own training. I have, however, had my fair share of set backs with sporting injuries, the worst being a snapped anterior cruciate ligament whilst skiing. The rehabilitation process was a huge struggle and it gave me first hand experience in the importance of goal setting and progressive programming to ensure I regained my full fitness.

With my experiences, coupled with my enthusiasm for sport and a desire to help people I decided to set up my own personal training business, and have not looked back since.
